As the teaching on poetry is an education through poetry in a genre compressed most linguistically, so it is in need of the teacher’s consideration of maturity. The teaching on poetry simultaneously took aim at teach esthetic value and ethical value to students through a work of art called poetry all the while. The treatise has disputed the teaching of poetry centering around problems of an esthetic value among them. In the Chapter Ⅱ, it has investigated an ethical function of poetry. It has the function of pleasure and common interest. The common interest in poetry has an ethical function and a political function. If the work of aesthetic composition also will have an ethical function properly, of course, it will become a better work as a poetry. In the Chapter Ⅲ, it has investigated interrelationship to teaching of poetry and family ethics. It goes without saying that family ethics is fundamental of all the ethics. There are lots of works which are containing moralities of family among the textbooks published by our country. There were some works enough to touch students’s heart among these works, while there were even some works to be improper that they should learn to among these works. In the Chapter Ⅳ, it has investigated interrelationship to teaching of poetry and social ethics. The social ethics is an enlarged type of individual ethics and family ethics. We have to point to community to respect a social morality rather than self-interest. This treatise disputed possibilities of poetry education showing some works of poetry to conduce to such matters. The teaching of poetry has to point to an identical nature toward human, nature and cosmos. An ecological literary(ecological poetry) to become an issue recently is comprised in an ethical question. The realization of an ethical value through teaching of poetry is as important as actualization of aesthetic value. It has to be accomplished as a good work without a work of a schema-structure and theme.
