Post-it notes is used a new stationery item as well as simple office supplies. But now, its purpose is unparalleled daily necessities, and it is drawing a culture of remembrance as a new communication method. After the Gangnam Station murder on May 17 and the Guui Station 9-4 platform screen door accident on May 28, 2016 condolences service continued through Post-it. As a result of analyzing the condolences messages of Gangnam Station Exit 10 and Guui Station Platform 9-4 by their type, subject, and content, it was seen that the characteristics of the memorial message were largely divided into mourning, anger and urging. Mourning was expressed as empathy and sadness, regret and guilty, consolation, and resignation, while anger was expressed as resentment, resistance, criticism, disillusionment, and appeal. Urging is expressed as a resolution, problem solving, and participation appealing. Therefore, through the expressions of mourning and anger toward the victims, we could see the reflection and change of the memorial who wrote the message on the Post-it. By paying attention to the specific expressions on the Post-it, how individuals’ voices communicate with our society in public. Analyzed from the socio-cultural aspects, in particular, through the memorial Post-it, I was able to see the feelings of self-destruction and despair of women and young people represented by 2030, as well as self-help and self- response of the older generation. Through Post-it, one of the new communication methods, it was confirmed that division and solidarity are possible with a dichotomy of the victim and the perpetrator, the victim and the social structure.
