오늘 26일 오후 2시, 계명대 성서캠퍼스 의양관 207호에서 열리는 이번 학술대회는‘지역×청년여성의 삶을 모색하다’를 주제로 진행될 예정이다.

이번 학술대회는 총 3부로 4개의 주제발표와 토론이 이어진다. 첫 주제 발표는 대구광역시행복진흥사회서비스원 성지혜 선임연구위원이 ‘지역사회 저출생 대응을 위한 젠더 관점의 출구 모색’을 주제로 저출생 대응 방안에 대해 논의한다.

현재 저출생 현상의 현황을 살피고, 저출생을 극복하기 위한 성평등 노력에 대해 우리 사회가 성평등에 관심을 집중하고, 다양한 영역의 성평등을 중심에 두고 저출생 대응 방안을 모색하고자 한다.

두 번째로 육주원 경북대학교 사회학과 교수가 ‘젠더연구에서의 ‘지역’: 지역 청년페미니스트 연구 사례를 중심으로‘를 주제로 발표한다.

지역을 어떻게 접근하며, ‘지역’에 대한 부정적/긍정적 본질화를 넘어 어떠한 방식으로 지역 젠더 연구가 이루어져야 하는지 성찰하게 하는 기회를 갖고자 한다. 지역이 이론이 생산지가 되고, 지역 간 연구 네트워크를 통해 지역 젠더연구와 지역 연구를 종합하고 이론화를 제안한다.

세 번째 최나현 부산대 강사는 ‘부산 고졸 청년여성의 노동 이력형성 경험에 관한 시론적 연구’라는 제목으로 발표한다.

발표문에서 부산지역 고졸 청년여성들의 노동 이력 형성 경험을 통해 한국 사회에서 평가절하 되고 있는 ‘고졸’ 학력이 청년여성의 노동 이력에 미치는 영향과 그에 따른 대응 전략에 대해 논의한다.

마지막으로 추주희 전남대학교 인문학연구원 연구교수가 ‘지역청년 퀴어의 복합적 차별과 공간 퀴어링’을 주제로 발표한다. 지역에서 거주하는 청년 퀴어의 성정체성 형성과정에서의 어려움을 조명하고, 이를 극복하고자 하는 만든 퀴어 커뮤니티를 통해서 지역을 퀴어링하는 일련의 과정과 그 의미를 성찰하며 광주지역에서 필요한 정책과 체계를 제안한다.

학술대회 개최를 주관한 안숙영 계명대 여성학연구소장은 “지역은 청년 여성들이 살아가는 삶의 공간임과 동시에 이들의 경험이 만들어지고 구성되는 장소이다.”고 밝히며 “이번 학술대회는 지속적인 페미니즘 실천을 위해 지역의 청년 여성들이 어떤 노력을 기울이고 있는지를 ‘지역’과 ‘젠더’가 연결되는 지점에서 파악해 볼 좋은 기회가 될 것이다.”라고 밝혔다.
